At the Argument Institute Orlando, we’ve designed an experience that stands out in every way. From personalized learning to unmatched safety, our camp ensures your child receives the best possible preparation for success in Lincoln Douglas debate. We go above and beyond to ensure that every camper walks away with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to excel. Join us this summer and see for yourself why we’re different.
We know that each debater has their own strengths and areas for growth. That’s why we offer a flexible curriculum that allows you to choose your lab based on your interests and experience level. We offer labs focused on Policy, Philosophy, High Theory, Identity, and Traditional Debate with an expert leading the way in each field.
We understand that sending your child to camp is a big decision. That’s why we take safety seriously, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every camper. We recruit highly qualified education professionals who go through comprehensive background checks and mandatory attendance at UCF's Youth Protection Program. We will have a full time staff member dedicated to safety in our dorms.
Our curriculum is created by experienced classroom educators who know what it takes to succeed in competitive debate. None of our labs will be run by first-year-outs! All lectures are crafted by real teachers with proven expertise in the field. In our hands-on labs, your child will be guided by adult mentors who are passionate about debate and dedicated to their students' growth.
At our camp, we believe that practice is key to mastering debate skills. That’s why we incorporate daily rounds into the schedule, giving students the chance to apply the strategies and techniques they learn in lectures. These rounds provide a supportive environment where campers can refine their arguments, practice speaking under pressure, and receive real-time feedback from experienced coaches. By the end of the camp, students will have honed their skills through practical experience, building the confidence they need to succeed in future competitions.
We’re not just another camp – our coaches have a proven history of success. Our students have won the TOC, Yale, Harvard, Valley, University of Florida, Princeton, Ridge, Greenhill, Berkely, Bronx, Cypress Bay, University of Texas at Austin, and Nova Southeastern. The skills, strategies, and mentorship they gain at our camp make a lasting impact on their debating careers and aided in their advancement into the college arena, attending major universities like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and MIT.
At our camp, every student is paired with a mentor who provides individualized support. This mentorship program is designed to offer students personalized guidance throughout the camp experience, ensuring they develop the skills, foresight and confidence they need to succeed both in and out of competition. This also ensures that students can best maximize our flexible curriculum and get exactly what they desire from the experience.
We believe that learning doesn’t stop when the camp ends. That’s why all of our lectures are recorded and made available to students after the camp concludes. This gives campers the opportunity to revisit the material, review key concepts, and reinforce their learning at their own pace. Whether they want to refresh their memory or dive deeper into a particular topic, our digital review ensures that valuable insights are always within reach.
