Spencer Swickle debated for five years at American Heritage Broward/Plantation. He won the TOC, Harvard, Yale, Sunvite, the Tradition, and FFl states. He accumulated 20 bids to the TOC. His debate interests include theory, moral philosophy, and postmodernism kritiks. Outside of debate, he enjoys playing video games, basketball, and listening to music! Specializes in Philosophy and Theory.
Spencer Orlowski is a national and international champion in college LD. He has coached middle school, high school, and college national champions in LD. His students have received over 100 bids in PF & LD and won the TOC in LD. He offers sessions focused on K debate, Policy, Theory, PF, Oratory/Info, and Lay debate.
Jane is a junior at Harvard College, studying Government and History. She debated in LD for three years at Immaculate Heart High School in los Angeles, where she also previously coached. She accumulated 10 career bids and won or reached finals of several bid tournaments. Her primary debate interest is Policy-Style arguments.
Chad has been involved with college NFA LD for two decades. He has coached seven champions in ten years for WKU debate. Chad is available for drills focused on policy style debate. Reach out if you are interested in college debate!
In policy, his team Berkeley Prep RV ranked 1st on the coaches poll. They Quartered the TOC 3 times, ranking within the Top 10 speakers twice. RV also championed/
finaled tournaments such as Emory, Michigan, and Glenbrooks. In LD, his students accumulated 50+ bids and won the finals of Glenbrooks and Stanford and had students reach the Quarters, Semifinals, and Finals of the 2025 TOC.
Kevin is a freshman at Stanford who loves debate. In high school, Kevin competed in policy debate for Peninsula High School with his twin, Devin. He won nine tournaments, including Berkeley, the MBA Southern Bell Forum, Greenhill, and the David P. Baker Cup for Season-Long Excellence in Policy Debate. Kevin had 21 career bids across policy and LD.
Mac placed 4th at Nationals and championed several tournaments. His students have earned over 100 bids and championed dozens of national tournaments including 2023 Gold TOC. He is available to do drills for lay or tech PF. He will be a Fullbright scholar in Taiwan for the 24-25 school year, so he will have unique hours available. Specializes in Public Forum debate.

Mary Abi-Karam debated for five years at American Heritage, earning bids in both Public Forum and Lincoln-Douglas. She was PF champion of the Aaron Thomas Invitational and a finalist at over 15 national and regional tournaments, including Yale and NSDA Nationals. In LD, she placed 3rd in the nation for lay debate speaking at NSDA Nationals. A four-time NSDA qualifier with Premier Distinction, Mary has coached for two years as a lead instructor at NSD Flagship, a classroom coach for Potomac Debate, and the former program director for All-American, where she also coached high school Model UN for a year. Mary is currently a junior at Georgetown studying international politics and philosophy.
Ben debated for Durham for three years where he achieved extensive success both on the local and national level in Public Forum. Most notably, he was the 2024 NSDA National Champion, 2023 National Runner-Up, semi-finalist at the gold TOC, and back-to-back NC state champion. On the national circuit, Ben achieved a top—10 national ranking for back-to-back seasons, was the champion of Princeton, Yale, Duke, and the King Round Robin, and amassed over 10 gold bids. He specializes in all forms of debate.
Esther spent four years competing with the American Heritage Speech Team, shining in categories like Informative Speaking, Original Oratory, Program Oral Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation. Her record speaks for itself: she's a five-time Florida Varsity State Champion, a two-time winner of Harvard’s Ketanji Brown Jackson Oratory Bowl, and a back to back Oratory champion at the Barkley Forum, The Glenbrooks, The Longhorn Classic and Blue Key. Most notably, Esther made history as the first three time NSDA National Champion in Original Oratory.
John is a 5-time NSDA National Champion Coach. Most recently he coached the 2024 DI, HI, Prose, & Storytelling National Champions. In addition, he coached the 2022 NSDA Duo Champions & has coached multiple NSDA national finalists. Every student he has coached that qualified for NSDA has made it to at least the top 30 in the Nation. He has coached a combined 66 NIETOC, Harvard, Glenbrooks, UT-Austin, & TFA State Champions & finalists in the last three years alone. As a competitor, he was a two-time NSDA National Finalist in Duo & Prose, a Harvard finalist in Duo & HI, & a DI finalist at NIETOC. He went on to compete in college for WKU where he was a National Finalist in Duo & a World Champion in DI.
Kate is a nationally recognized extemporaneous and impromptu speaker from Texas and a rising college freshman at Berkeley. She’s a champion of Glenbrooks, Florida Blue Key, Sunvite, and the Texas State Tournament, with top finishes at Harvard, the Extemp TOC, and the MBA Round Robin. She serves as Executive Director of The Extemper’s Bible, the world’s largest extemp nonprofit, and has taught thousands through organizations like Be The Light and Academy 37. A TEDx speaker and NSDA Achieving Equity Award finalist, Kate is also a seasoned coach, podcast host, and proud crossword enthusiast.
Spencer competed for WKUs national champion speech and debate team where he won State Championships in After Dinner and Informative Speaking. He qualified in Public Address events to nationals all four years in college, and broke to deep out rounds in Persuasive and Informative Speaking. He has coached the top two in middle school Informative Speaking at NSDA. His high school speech students have qualified to states and nationals in informative speaking.
Thadeus is a 5th-year coach at the American Heritage School. In high school he competed in every speech event, but excelled in Extemporaneous and Impromptu speaking. His students have qualified to FFL States, TOC, NIETOC, and NSDA.
Susan competed for WKUs national champion speech and debate team where she qualified to NFA Nationals in several Public Address events and Impromptu Speaking. She has extensive experience in corporate speaking, sales, and marketing.
